Estate Planning By Teleconference

Estate Planning by Teleconference is an effective method to complete an estate plan from anywhere in Michigan.  This service is especially useful for those clients who find it difficult to meet in-person due to time constraints or geographic distance from our office.  All documents and services are delivered by telephone, e-mail and Internet.

Follow these steps to complete an estate plan by teleconference:

Step 1: Complete a Client Worksheet

A Client Worksheet must be completed prior to the consultation.  The Client Worksheet is used to organize information, assess the client's needs, and prepare for the consultation.  The worksheet may be submitted by e-mail or fax.

Step 2: Schedule a Telephone Conference

A telephone consultation is required for every estate plan.  A telephone consultation will be scheduled with the client upon receipt of the worksheet at our office.  Appointments outside normal business hours are available upon request.

Step 3: Sign Your Documents

Documents will be drafted and sent for review by email (password protected for security).  Changes to the documents may be requested for up to 30 days after delivery without charge.  Step-by-step instructions to sign documents will be provided.

Step 4: Complete Your Estate Plan

In most cases, an estate plan is not finished when the documents are signed.  Follow-up instructions will be provided to complete the plan.  For example, this may include changing beneficiaries on financial accounts or life insurance, and storing documents in a secure location.
